Francis Kamau is a Social Entrepreneur, Agronomist and the Co- Founder of Agreal Africa. He is a young Kenyan who is passionately devoted to offer “Action now” to the rapidly degrading eco-system. Born and raised in Kenya , he studied BSc. Agriculture in the Kenyan Premier agriculture training Center - Egerton University Njoro.
In his 4th Year of study under the wing of his agroforestry lecturer he was really engaged in one on one training and mentorship. He learnt and appreciated the agroforestry practices being the only major agricultural hub that fully addresses the very key social, economic and environmental challenges.
“Without trees, No rain. Without Rain, No Life” Due to his Love for the environment, the lecturer introduced to him the eco-inclusive investment projects and closely guided him on the way to go until he left the campus having satisfactorily completed the 8:4:4 education system. After graduation he consistently interacted with the community, moving to various social gatherings to create awareness on the importance of having the 10% tree cover on the farms. It is well known that 80% of Kenyans rely on wood as the sorce of energy.
“ How beautiful is that Agreal Africa rose to the top bar of pyramid when the whole world is in Climate Change crisis. In almost all the countries in the world the water towers and forests are in less that optimal shape. It is heartbreaking that even the Amazon forests that supports 20% of world water source and 10% global wild life is currently feeling the ill effect of degradation and encroachment with a serious loss of diversity. I believe Agreal Africa will continue to join hands with the relevant stakeholders, Investors, private and public sectors, foundations, bilateral and multilateral donors, NGOs and international Organizations to ensure zero net deforestation in Kenya. Through the assistance of our abled team we offer effective, affordable products and services to ensure that people get the right information on appropriate agroforestry practices towards zero hunger and malnutrition in our country”.
